It has been said before that the Soweto derby is not what it used to be and that was confirmed by the lumpy 0-0 draw that Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs served up at FNB Stadium. There was little quality in Saturday’s Premiership encounter to suggest the three available points ought to have gone to either side. But both clubs should be concerned about the dreariness of SA’s biggest footballing spectacle. The players seemed to have lost the desire to become derby heroes.
