About 30 years ago, I invited May-Eliane de Lencquesaing, proprietor of Chateau Pichon Lalande, one of the top-10 estates of the Medoc, to come to SA to judge the SAA on-board selection.
She fell in love with the Cape and within a few years had bought a fruit farm called Glenelly at the entrance to Ida’s Valley, virtually in the heart of Stellenbosch...
